The goal of the Junior Classes at BYC is to develop base skills so the sailors can confidently transfer into Youth Classes. Our Sabot team competes in a range of Balboa Bay and SoCal regattas. The Naples Sabot teaches sailors a wide range of skills including sail set up, tactical racing, and boat maintenance.  Sailors need their own boat to participate in this program.

Twilights Series

Sabot sailors can join the BYC evening Twilights racing on Wednesdays Mid May until the end of August. Races start/finish in front of the Yacht Club. Start time is 6pm and there are 2 races a night. You can register here and see the results here. Twilights are a great way to improve their tactical skills will lots of wind shifts, wind puffs/lulls and skewed up winds.
